New Clients

WHAT TO EXPECT

The first visit may last from 1.5 to 2 hours. This is an uninterrupted time for you to convey to your homeopath your concerns and symptoms. You do not need to prepare anything for this meeting as we would like the interview to be spontaneous. Please fill out the new patient forms (below) before you arrive.

We encourage new clients to familiarize themselves with homeopathy by browsing our website before your initial consultation. Any additional questions you may have will happily be answered when we meet. Please read Taking The Remedy section for more information about the process.

INSURANCE & RIGHT TO PRACTICE

INSURANCE

In California most insurance companies do not cover homeopathic treatment. However, you may get reimbursed from a pre-tax Uncovered Medical Expense Account or Health Savings Account. We can provide a statement of expenses to be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.

HEALTH FREEDOM ACT

Passed in 2001, this legislation allows homeopaths to practice legally in California. It requires that we clearly define to the patient that we do not diagnose illness, and we must disclose to the client, in a written statement using plain language, the following information:

  • Homeopaths are not licensed physicians
  • The treatment is alternative or complementary to healing arts services licensed by the state
  • The services to be provided are not licensed by the state
  • The nature of the services provided
  • The theory of treatment upon which the services are based
  • The homeopath’s education, training, experience and other qualifications regarding the services to be provided
