Your First Visit

The first visit may last from 2 to 3 hours. This is an uninterrupted time for you to convey to your homeopath your concerns and symptoms. You do no need to prepare anything for this meeting as we would like the interview to be spontaneous. You will do most of the talking and, at the end, we will ask questions to fill in whatever gaps may exist. After careful analysis, a homeopathic remedy is chosen for you.

In Classical Homeopathy, we seek to see each person in his or her totality. Symptoms on the mental, emotional and physical planes are all considered important in understanding the expression of an illness. In our first interview, we collect information related to your unique patterns of behavior, patterns of becoming ill and how you respond to emotional events such as stress, grief or joy. All these elements are useful in determining which remedy works best for you.

Follow Up Visits

A follow up visit will be booked for 4 to 5 weeks after taking the remedy and every 4 to 5 weeks thereafter for at least 6 months. It is vitally important to the success of homeopathic treatment that we adhere to the follow-up schedule. This is the only way to stay on track and keep the treatment moving along. As your health improves, the time between follow-ups lengthens and often visits stretch out to once or twice a year.

If you are prescribed an LM potency, a check in by phone should be done weekly for the first few months. If symptoms worsen or an acute illness begins, discontinue the remedy and call us.

Common illnesses which arise during your treatment, such as colds and flus, are best treated homeopathically. Please call first before taking any medication even if you think the symptoms you are experiencing are not related to the initial reason for which you sought homeopathy. Avoid immediately taking drugs, supplements, over-the-counter medications or herbal, flower, or homeopathic remedies as you might have done before. These may interrupt the progress of your treatment.

If symptoms arise that you did not have at the previous visit, make a note of it and be sure to mention it at the next follow up.

In case of medical emergency please call your physician or 911.

Remember, symptoms will arise in the natural healing process and it is best if they are not suppressed.

Avoid immediately taking drugs, over-the-counter medications, herbal or flower remedies or supplements as you might have done before. Often what is brought out after taking the remedy is best handled homeopathically. Even if you think the symptoms you are experiencing aren’t related to the initial reason you sought homeopathy, it is very important to check in with us.
