Lisette and Randy are traveling to Florida in January to attend Henny Heudens-Mast’s seminar on Homeopathy and Autism. Henny has extensive experience in treating autistic children in Europe and in the US which she will share with us as video cases and lectures. She has a depth of knowledge of homeopathy that few in the world can equal.

Children with autism can be difficult to treat, since communication can be limited, there are usually other physical problems such as allergies or recurrent infections that need to be resolved, and the depth of the problems can make management of the cases challenging. So it is very helpful to see some cured cases from Henny’s own practice and study the nuances of treating this, now almost common, disorder.

Homeopathy can make a huge difference in the lives of these children and their families both on the physical level: increasing immunity, stopping the cycle of illness, reducing allergic responses, and on the emotional and mental levels. In my own practice I have seen changes such as:

Lowered levels of sensitivity to clothes, people, foods
More awareness of others
Vast improvements in speech
Happier and calmer overall

Randy has been certified by the Council for Homeopathic Certification, an independent, professional organization which defines standards of homeopathic care and evaluates criteria for homeopathic competence. The certification process entails passing written exams, submitting five cases for review, as well as passing an interview with a member of the review committee.

I have begun studying with a Belgian homeopath, Henny Heudens-Mast. I attended an Advanced Materia Medica seminar in Belgium last November as well as two other case seminars given by Henny in January and April last year. Henny is a well known homeopath practicing in Belgium for the last 35 years. She gives numerous seminars every year in Germany, Belgium, and the United States. This particular seminar has a strong following of both European and American homeopaths, many of whom have attended for the last seven years. Henny is a great teacher with a wealth of experience treating people in Belgium, Germany, and the United States.

Henny is a true classical homeopath, she relies on the old masters of homeopathy for her own study and wraps their views of the remedies in with her own clinical experience. Video cases are used to represent the remedies along with information on remedy relationships.

I plan to attend the seminar, which is given bi-annually, again in March. It is a bit far to travel, but what I have gained in understanding of the remedies, case taking, and case evaluation is invaluable. Homeopathy is a very complex subject, and very few advanced seminars cover the classical application of Homeopathy as I learned and practice it. Henny’s understanding of Homeopathy and her practical application of it fits perfectly with mine, I hope to attend as many of these seminars as my pocketbook allows!
